Where should I stay?
Choose Your Location ! Sanibel Island, known for its natural beauty and undeveloped setting, is great for families, groups and couples. This island has 26 miles of bike paths and gradually sloping beaches where small children can wade comfortably. Seashells are abundant and the fishing is great! Lots of unique recreation, dining and shopping choices await. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge is on Sanibel. Captiva Island is known for its trendy "village" area, where you can walk to nightly sunsets on the beach, four-star dining, galleries, outdoor bistros and shopping. Upscale and very unique. Captiva is the gateway to out-island day-tripping by boat. Several marinas offer fishing charters and water taxis; fishing is great. Views from Captivas beach are vast and inspiring. Nearby Buck Key is a paddlers destination; canoe and kayak rentals are plentiful. Ft. Myers Beach is
the liveliest community in the area, aimed at younger crowds, with lots
of night-life, a walking mall, Atlantic style fishing pier, outdoor activities,
restaurants and bars directly on the beach. Ft. Myers Beach has one public
golf course and others nearby. The south end of Ft. Myers Beach connects
by bridge to Lover's Key. Lover's Key is a state park with a wonderful
"deserted island" feeling, beautiful views, and on the scenic
route to Bonita Beach and Naples.
